NZ Poster QOTSA
Gig poster by Craig Phillips
Unfortunately QOTSA have cancelled both the Christchurch gig due to the devastating earthquake, and Wellington due to unnamed band members illnesses.
So the poster is really applicable to Auckland only
Joshua Homme with Dean Fertita QOTSA 21 Feb 2011
The Queens concert was not without technical problems unfortunately and the set seemed a bit short. However the songs played rocked, the sound was good, and maybe while some songs were a little under appreciated by the crowd, especially off the S/T album, these were the highlights IMO, especially walkin' on the sidewalks. The outro guitar section at the end was utterly hypnotic; a real definition of robot rock at it's finest, just relentless riffs, pounded into your head!
Magical!
Grealish poster 2002 signed by QOTSA
QOTSA came to Auckland for a gig on 21 Feb 2011 and did a fan signing session to celebrate the re-release of their self titled album from 1998. I took along a poster by Darren Grealish from 2002 to get signed and both Troy and Josh made some great comments over it.
Troy stated how the band were big fans of iceblocks & Josh sat down from a photo and said "ahh, I remember the time time when this came out...a beautiful piece of imagery....great art"
